Yes, you read that correctly. This kid is filling up the stat sheet like a fantasy basketball addict with unlimited patience. When Payton has the ball, good luck getting a stop. He's the odds-on favorite for Rookie of the Year, and frankly, it's not close.

Antonello Riva of the Miami Heat is the silent assassin lurking in the shadows. His 25.8 points and 7.2 rebounds have the Heat looking dangerous, and if Desmond Mason keeps contributing his 12.6 PPG and 7.3 RPG, Miami's rookie duo could be terrifying for years to come. The Heat might've found their foundation.

Then there's Bob Pettit, who looks like he was raised by basketball-worshipping wolves. The Indiana Pacer is absolutely dominating with 23.7 points and a staggering 12.2 rebounds. He leads ALL rookies in rebounds and is third in scoring. That's not a rookie stat line—that's an All-Star line. Pacers fans should be absolutely buzzing.
